The official trailer for Sony’s reboot of the popular spider franchise went live yesterday. Here it is in all its spandex glory:
Personally, I’m not feeling it yet. Much as it’s nice that they’re exploring a different direction with looking into Parker’s parents, the trailer seems to be trying too hard to be Nolan’s Batman but with cheesier effects. I’ll keep an open mind of course when the movie comes out in July, but it feels like Sony rushed this to keep the move rights. I’m starting to wish that rumor was true of Spidey being in the Avengers movie…
